MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />April 12, 2007 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Kleissler, McRoberts, Moore, Rosenquist, Schumann, Weidt <br />ABSENT: Bailly <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD) <br />Michele Lindau, Secretary <br />Minutes of March 22, 2007 <br />Weidt made motion, Kleissler seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of March <br />22, 2007 as submitted. <br />Ayes: Kleissler, Moore, Schumann, Weidt <br />Abstain: McRoberts, Rosenquist <br />Motion carried. <br />Rural Preservation Program Ordinance <br />The CDD explained that that the Council had directed the Planning Commission to prepare <br />revisions to the ordinance prior to May 1, 2007 and focus only on density bonuses, community <br />well and septic, buildable acreage, conservation easements, and the title of the ordinance. He <br />informed the Commission that the Council would be considering a moratorium at their next <br />meeting on April 16, 2007. <br />The Commission talked about whether they should continue discussion or wait for the Council's <br />decision. Schumann suggested they meet on April 19th if the Council did not vote for the <br />moratorium and did not grant them extra time to complete their review. <br />Weidt made motion, Rosenquist seconded, to request the Council grant an extension to June 1, <br />2007 in the event a moratorium is not approved. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Weidt made motion, Rosenquist seconded, to table discussion on the Rural Preservation Program <br />Ordinance. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Miscellaneous <br />
