HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
JANUARY 27, 2005
Call to Order
Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m.
PRESENT: Bailly, Hoffbeck, Kleissler, McRoberts, Rosenquist, Schumann
ABSENT: Malaski
ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD)
Michele Lindau, Secretary
Minutes of January 13, 2005
McRoberts made motion, Hoffbeck seconded, to approve the minutes of January 13, 2004 as
revised.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Planning Commission 2004 Annual Report
The Commission reviewed the 2004 Planning Commission Annual Report as prepared by staff.
The Commission directed staff to publish the report on the City web site and forward a copy to
the City Council.
Planning Commission Goal Setting
The Commission reviewed the Planning Commission goals from 2004 and the goals of the City
Council for 2005. The Commission also considered a list of what the Council sited as ongoing
priorities for 2005. After much discussion, the Commission established the following list for
2005.
1. Downtown design standards
2. Transitions
3. Mix of housing Types
4. Rural Preservation
5. Mixed Use standards
6. Home Based Business Standards
7. Sign Ordinance

8. Land use North of 165th Street
McRoberts made motion, Kleissler seconded, to put the goals in writing and submit them to the
Council for informational purposes.
All Ayes. Motion carried.

McRoberts made motion, Bailly seconded, to adjourn at 8:22 p.m.
