HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 9, 2004
Call to Order
Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
PRESENT: Bailly, Kleissler, Malaski, Rosenquist, Schumann
ABSENT: Hoffheck, McRoberts
ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD)

Minutes of August 12, 2004
Bailly made motion, Kleissler seconded, to approve the minutes of August 12, 2004 as submitted.
Ayes: Bailly, Kleissler, Rosenquist, Schumann
Abstain: Malaski
Motion carried.
Pulte Homes Minor Subdivision for Pipeline Located in Waters Edge South
The Commission held a public hearing to consider the request of Pulte Homes of Minnesota
Corporation, 815 Northwest Parkway, Eagan, for two minor subdivisions to split a 50 -foot wide
strip of land currently owned by Xcel Energy. The properties are located within the Waters Edge
South development. Pulte Homes requested that the two parcels of land be split into two parcels
each (four total parcels). Pulte will incorporate the portions of land within their development into
the Water Edge South project.
A representative of Pulte Homes was at the meeting to answer questions.
Chair Schumann explained that the public hearing was part of the legal procedure to subdivide
property and have it properly recorded. He opened the public hearing. There were no comments
and he closed the public hearing.
Malaski made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the minor subdivision for
Pulte Homes.
All Ayes. Motion carried.

Miscellaneous
JOINT MEETING SCHEDULED
The Community Development Director informed the Commission of a joint Planning
Commission and City Council workshop scheduled for Monday, October 11, at 7:00 p.m. to
discuss recommendations by the Rural and Open Space Committee.
RIVER CITY ASPHALT
Commissioner Malaski informed the Commission that the River City Gravel pit was operating for
the final year of their agreement and no reclamation had been done.
TREE ORDINANCE
Commissioner Malaski questioned when they would be considering the tree ordinance. The
Community Development Director explained that there were several ordinance amendments that
would be coming before the Commission.

Malaski made motion, Bailly seconded, to adjourn at 7:12 p.m
