HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
MARCH 13, 2001
Call to Order
Chairperson Schumann called the meeting of the Hugo Planning Commission of March 13, 2001 to order at
7:10 p.m.
PRESENT: Kleissler, Peltier, Rooney, Rosenquist, Schumann
ALSO PRESENT: Secretary, Michele Lindau
Consultant, Dennis Rosemark
ABSENT: Malaski, McRoberts
Minutes of March 13, 2001
Kleissler made motion, Rosenquist seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of February 28,
2001, as amended.
All AYES: Motion carried.
Proposed Changes to the Zoning Ordinance
Dennis Rosemark, Rosemark Consulting reviewed draft zoning ordinance updates with the Planning
Commission. These updates included an expanded list of permitted, accessory, and conditional uses for all the
commercial and industrial zoning districts, which staff found to be consistent with the purpose and other
allowed uses of the individual districts.
The Planning Commission also briefly discussed changes to the requirements of home occupations, and
regulation of non -conforming buildings, structures, uses, and lots.
The Commission felt additional time was needed to discuss the proposed updates, and agreed additional
meetings would be necessary in order to remain on schedule with this project.

At 10:10 pm, Rooney made motion, Peltier seconded, to recess until Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at 7:00 pm.
All AYES. Motion carried.
