HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
October 30, 2001
Call to Order
Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
PRESENT: Kleissler, Peltier, Rooney, Rosenquist, Schumann
Malaski arrived at 7:10
ALSO PRESENT: John Rask, Community Development Director
ABSENT: McRoberts
Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance
Over the past few months the Planning Commission reviewed and initiated changes to the City Zoning
Ordinance and zoning map. At the last regular scheduled Planning Commission meeting, the Commission
scheduled this special meeting for an extended discussion on the proposed changes.
The draft ordinance incorporated a new format that would allow the City to easily make changes to the
document in the future. Other proposed changes are the addition of new residential zoning districts and changes
to the permitted, accessory, and conditional uses for each district.
The Community Development Director provided the Commission an overview of the work to date, answered
question from the Commission and participated in the.discussion on the proposed changes.
Malaski made motion, Kleissler seconded, to recommend council approve the draft zoning ordinance with
changes made this evening.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Schumann made motion, Peltier seconded, to adjourn at 8:40 p.m.
