MINUTES FOR THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />JUNE 28, 2000 <br />Planning Commission Chairperson Stoltzman called the meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. <br />Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Kellison, Kleissler, Malaski, McRoberts, Peltier, Rooney, Schumann <br />City Planner, Dan Cornejo <br />Deputy Clerk, Michele Lindau <br />ABSENT: Puleo <br />Minutes of May 24, 2000 <br />Peltier made motion, Kleissler seconded, to approve the minutes of May 24, 2000, as submitted. <br />AYES: Kleissler, McRoberts, Peltier, Schumann, Rooney <br />ABSTAIN: Kellison, Malaski <br />Motion carried. <br />Wenzel Farms (Joint meeting with City Council) <br />Mayor Stoltzman called to order the joint meeting of the City Council and the Hugo Planning <br />Commission. Council Members present were Barnes, Leroux, and Mayor Stoltzman. Also <br />present was the City Administrator, Mike Ericson. Len Pratt from Pratt Homes, developer of <br />Wenzel Farms, was present along with partner John Peterson from Oakwood Land Development, <br />Inc., Homer Tompkins, Developer of Liberty on the Lake in Stillwater, and Mark Putmann, <br />Landscape Architect. Mr. Pratt shared, with the Planning Commission and City Council, his <br />vision for the development of Wenzel Farms and the surrounding areas. They presented their <br />suggestions for an amended PUD, which was approved by the City Council August 9., 1999. <br />Members of the Council and Planning Commission were very receptive to their idea, which <br />promotes a transgenerational community with narrower street, trails, and neighborly parks. <br />Kellison made motion, Malaski seconded, to direct staff and all City entities to work with the <br />developers on amending their plan. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />City Council member Barnes made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to adjourn the City Council <br />portion of the meeting at 9:35. p.m. <br />All ayes by the Council. Motion carried. <br />
