February 10, 1993
This special workshop meeting of the Hugo Planning Commission was called
to order by Vice Chairman Bill Mezzano at 7:05PM.
PRESENT: Mezzano, Davis, Agness, Rubenzer, Olson, Administrator Museus,
Carole LaBelle
ABSENT: Oswald, Peltier
The Planning Commission members agreed that they will formulate the
committees and choose chairpersons. The Planning Commission also
recommends that the City Council not participate in the groups. Each
Planning Commissioner will organize one particular group as specifieci
below:
Rubenzer - Land Use
Davis - Transportation
Mezzano - Parks and Recreation
Agness - Economic Development
Olson - Housing
Oswald - Environment
Peltier - Image
Davis/Agness - Government Services
Each committee will consist of 8-10 citizen members. The Planning
Commission has requested staff send out public notice on committee
development to interested persons by February 19. Those residents wishing
to be on a committee should respond by March 12. Commissioner Agness
preferred waiting to select chairpersons until after all interested
parties have been contacted. Committee selection will be conducted at the
regular Planning Commission meeting of March 24. On March 24th a schedule
will be determined for chairperson training, with committee training
scheduled for April 24, 1993.
After establishment of each committee, a date will be set for information
to be collected and presented to the City Council.
Motion made by Davis, seconded by Agness to adjourn at 8:15PM.
