MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS
OF THE
HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
December 10, 1986
The regular meeting was called to order at 7:OOPM by Chairman Atkinson
PRESENT: Ray Olson, Bob Olson, Rudisill, Schoeller, Blanchard, Atkinson
& staff members Ken Huber & C. LaBelle
Motion made by Rudisill, seconded by Ray Olson to approve the Minutes of
November 12, 1986 as amended.
The regular meeting was recessed and the R. Busse public hearing was called
to order at 7:05PM.
Rich Busse - Mr. Busse owns 5.11 acres zoned RR2, he would like it rezoned
to SFE. The adjacent property is RR2, with the next nearest zone being Ag.
Mr. R. Anderson, representing the Sunset Lake Homeowners Association stated
they were opposed to rezoning because of the added pollution and traffic
which would be created if this property were divided. Doug Kruse was also
concerned about the quality of the water and traffic with more density. Several
other member of the audience voiced their objections
The public hearing was closed and the regular meeting reconvened at 7:30PM.
Richard Busse - The general concensus of the commission was that if this
were rezoned it would set a precedent Zonithe surrounding area. According
to the comprehensive plan the/gelgsity/snouP9 be concentrated nearer Highway
61. They also felt the water quality of the lake could be harmed with the
added population.
Motion made by Ray Olson, seconded by Bob Olson to recommend denial of the
request of Richard Busse to rezone 5.11 acres from RR2 to SFE on Sunset Lake.
All aye, motion carried.
Raiolo - Wolkerstorfer - Atkinson made motion, second by Rudisill to table
this issue until all documents requested are received by the clerk's office.
At that time they will be placed on the agenda. All aye, motion carried.
Ken Huber and the Commission members reviewed the Planning Commisison By-laws
and what changes could be made to improve them. Harry Rudisill, Ken Huber
and the 1987 commission members willwork on the revisions.
Motion made by Ray Olson
All aye, motion carried.
