OF THE
HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 13, 1985
The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Atkinson at 7:OOPM.
PRESENT: Schoeller, Rudisill, Ray Olson, ATkinson, Councilman Potts, Fashingbauer
ABSENT: Bob Olson, Granger
Motion made by Rudisill, seconded by Atkinson to approve the Minutes of Oct. 9, 1985
with the follaring correction;
Charest Special Use Permit Rudisill voted no.
All aye, motion carried.
The regular meeting was recessed and the public hearing called to order at 7:06PM
Zerwas - Public Hearing - Jim Bramstedt, 6524 145th St. requested that the record
show that their property is an active licensed shooting preserve. They are also
concerned about the wet areas. Mr. Bramstedt also made an offer to buy the prop-
erty several months ago. Mr. Vern Peloquin stated that he felt at the time the
property was originally split there was a guarantee of road access to the west
(Goodview).
The public hearing was closed and the regular meeting reconvened at 7:37PM.
Vern Peloquin - Subdivision - Mr. Peloquin questioned whether the court reporter
was in attendance for his case alone or the entire meeting? The deputy clerk
stated that Mr. McAllister ordered the court reporter for the Peloquin Subdivision.
Mr. Peloquin felt that this was harrassment and would not discuss the matter
without consultation with his attorney. He asked that this be tabled until he
contacts us.
Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Schoeller to table the Peloquin Subdivision
until notice by Mr. Peloquin. All aye, motion carried.
Richard Engman - Public Hearing - Mr. Engman was not present and did not file
an application. This matter will not be placed on the Planning Commission agenda
until an application is received and the fees are paid.
Zerwas - Subdivision - Zerwas' submitted their sketch plan to divide approximately
75 acres ( Schletty Property) at 8A and Goodview. Mr. Atkinson quoted the code
book 290-2 (1), stating that a subdivision should be well planned and attractive.
Discussion on the easement from Schletty home west to Goodview was conducted and
whether to vacate this easement. It was the general concensus of the commission
that the concept could be approved but better planning and a more attractive lay-
out should be accomplished. Mr. Zerwas requested the matter be tabled to allow
a new sketch plan to be drawn up.
Motion amde by Atkinson, seconded by Schoeller to table the Zerwas application
until Mr. Zerwas contacts our office but no later than the first meeting in
January, 1986. All aye, motion carried.

It was suggested that Mr. Kuusisto be requested to make comments on the entire
75 acres.
Garry Boyer - SUP - Mr. Boyer was not present to discuss his application. He
willbe placedon the agenda no later than January 8, 1986.
Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Fashingbauer to table the Boyer SUP. All
aye, motion carried.
Cal Garley - Moe Property - A public hearing was scheduled to discuss the sub-
division and multiple dwellings on January 8, 1986 at 7:05 PM.
Wil Harris - Amended Special Use Permit - a public hearing was scheduled for
Dec. 11, 1985 to discuss boxing and wrestling events to be held at the
Texan Bar.
Verna Larsen - A public hearing was scheduled for December 11, 1985 at 7:35PM,
for discusssion of rezoning from conservancy to Agriculture and subdivision.
Tara Arhip - No application was received. Ms. Arhip will be informed that
an application will be necessary. She will then be placed on the agenda.
Motion made by Ray Olson, second by Schoeller to adjourn at 10:03 PM.
