PRESENT: Atkinson, Fashingbauer, Potts, Rudisill, Olson, Lorch ABSENT: Schoeller Olson made motion to approve the minutes of October 24, 1984 as submitted, seconded by Rudisill, All aye, motion carried. The regular meeting was recessed and the public hearing for Marvin LaValle called to order at 7:03 PM. LaValle - Rezoning CB (GB) to Industrial - Mr. LaValle would like to rezone 14.9 acres along Frenchman Rd. The property now has a large pole building being used for storage and warehouse. There was no general public in attend- ance to comment on the matter. LaValle public hearing closed and Leibel hearing opened at 7:25PM. Leibel --Rezoning - RB to Industrial - Mr. Leibel would like to rezone his property to accomodate his business machinery. He would store contracting equipment, bobcats, trucks, etc. Rezoning would also conform more to the surrounding area. There was no public to comment. The public hearing was closed and the regular meeting reconvened at 7:33PM. LaValle - The planning commission felt that this would constitute a spot zoning which may be undesireable in that area at this time. It was felt that the definitions for each zone should be examined and possibly clarified. Motion made by , second by Atkinson to recommend denial of the request of Marvin LaValle to rezone from CB to Industrial. AYE: Atkinson, Potts, Rudisill, Olson, Lorch NAY: Fashingbauer Motion carried. Oneka Hills Farms - Shirley Nelson Hill - SUP - Mrs. Hill would like to re -apply for the special use permit she has obtained in 1983 which expired. Most of the conditions of the original permit have been fulfilled. Motion made by Lorch, seconded by Potts to reconv end approval of the Special Use Permit for Shirley Nelson Hill with the conditions of the 1983 permit with the following exceptions; 1. Number 4 - Concrete curbsbe changed to parking lot striping to the sat- isfaction of the City engineer, also indicating a space for handicapped. 2. Number 7 be deleted. All aye, motion carried. Planning Commission Minutes - page 2 November 14, 1984 John Distler - SUP - The Distlers own 40 acres which is recorded as three separate parcels. Their house is on one parcel and they would like con- struct a 30 x 68 pole building on an adjoining parcel. Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Lorch to recommend approval of a Special Use Permit for John Distler to construct a pole barn on the parcel of land adjoining the property his home is on, with possibly the condi- tions required of Thomas Rykken. With the exception of a permanent letter of credit because of the relative proximity of his home. AYE: Fashingbauer, Atkinson, Rudisill, Potts, Lorch NAY: Olson Motion Carried. Olson noted his objection was that he felt a reduced letter of credit should be required in case the property should be sold. Sandy Borndale - Ms. Borndale owns 152 acres on Harrow Ave. She would like to construct a 100' x 190' pole building to house a riding ring on one lot and her house is on a different parcel. The planning commission will make an inspection of the property. She will be added to the agenda of November 28, 1984. Motion to adjourn at 8:58PM made by Fashingbauer, seconded by Potts. Carole LaBelle, Secretary Hugo Planning Commission Curt Leibel - Rezoning - Motion made by Potts, seconded by Rudisill to recommend approval the rezoning for Curt Leibel to rezone from CB to industrial. All aye, motion carried.
