1'ay 23, 1984
The regular meeting w--ts called to order at 7:00 PM, by Chairman
Lorch.
PRESENT: Schoeller, Atkinson, Potts, RLdisill, Lorch
ABSENT: Fashingbauer, Olson
Motion made by Schoeller, second by Atkinson to approve the
Yinutes of Pay 9, 1984 after the following corrections;
George Lindy — item No. 4 add "etc".
item No. 3 add "no more than" one speed boat etc.
All aye, motion carried.
The planning commission would like to acknowledge and thank
Mrs. Svendson for her letter of appreciation during a meeting
on the Richard Granger subdivision.
Regular meeting recessed at 7:04 P17.
John Vostuch — The public hearing was called to order at 7:05 PT".
Mr. Kostuch would like to rezone approximately 17 acres from
Industrial to SFU. His plan would be to divide the property
in%o 2'% _i-oLsil 100' XL 2001. The subdivision would inclade two
new roads running east and west and one road north and south.
Several reside -Its were in attendance concerned mainly with the
cost of upgrading 140th St. and the odor of a neighboring
business from hot tar stored outside for cooling. Yone of
the residents were in opposition to the subdivision. It was
noted any subdivision not served by sewer and water must be
no less than 160' in width and one acre in size. The public
hearing was closed at 7:33 PI°1.
Lawrence Hazel - Mr. Hazel would like to diviJe 5.77 acz es

John Kostuch — T`r. 1,ostuch stated rather than put city water in
he would change the lots to one acre minimum.
Motion made by Potts, second by Schoeller to recommend approval
of the rezoning for'John Kostuch from industrial to SFU with
the following recommendations;
1. a legal description is provided and
2. a registered land survey. All aye, motion carried.

Lawrence Hazel — cont.
It was noted that the ownership report provided by airs. Hazel
refers to two parcels and separate numbers. '(here is a question
as to whether the parcels were ever actually recorded. Y.;otion
made by Potts, second by Lorch to recommend approval of the
Laerence Hazel rezoning from agriculture to SFE with the fol—
lo�,iing recommendations;
1. Applicant provide to the City a new certificate of Survey
dividing existing 5.77 acres into two equal parcels
2. Applicant agrees to no future re—subdivision
3. If the City attorney finds these are two existing parcels
which wou'.c allo;-a oonstructin an additional home under the
resent zoni.rp�, that this zoning request be withdrawn

:r. Lorch woulrI like the record to show he voted to apnrnira
the rezoning because of extenuating circumstances but does
so with reluctance.
Fischer Sand and Ag regate — Motion made by Schoeller, second
by audisill to recommend approval of the mining permit for
Fischer Said. and Aggregate with all existing conditions.
All aye, motion carried.
Glen Bjornson — A public hearing was scheduled to consider
a special use permit to raise cattle, June 13, 1984 at 7:45 PP.
Motion to adjourn made by Rudisill, second by Schoeller.
