OF THE
HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
October 14, 1981
The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Peltier at 8:04 PM.
PRESENT: Peloquin, Hanson, Greger, Lorch, Fashingbauer, Knuteson, Peltier
Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Peltier, to approve the minutes -of Septem-
ber 23, 1981, as submitted.
All aye. Motion Carried.
OLIVER REIMER - SITE PLAN APPROVAL AND VARIANCE
Mrs. Reimer, 14125 Irish Avenue, was present, and would like to construct a
24 x 40 pole barn for personal storage. The barn is proposed to be const-ructed
close to the front lot line than the principal structure. Mrs. Reimer stated
that because of the terrain in the rear, it would be difficult to have it con-
structed there.
Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Knuteson, to recommend approval of the Site
Plan for Oliver Reimer, 14125, to construct a 24 x 40 pole barn for personal
storage only, as per the submitted sketch.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Greger, seconded by Hanson, to recommend approval of the Variance
request of Oliver Reimer, to construct his proposed 24 x 40 pole barn closer to
the road than his house; only person affected by this approval has no objection
to the variance request.
All aye. Motion Carried.
TIM WRIGHT - SITE PLAN APPROVAL
Mr. Wright, 12133 Everton Avenue, would like to construct an 18 x 26 accessory
building. Mr. Wright already has approval to construct the one car garage and the
in -ground pool. The accessory structure would be used mainly for storage, and
have little in/out vehicle traffic. If needed, Mr. Wright can obtain access to
the building via a path on the east side of his residence. Mr. Wright is pro-
posing the construction of the accessory building first, then the swimming pool,
and thea the garage, because of the difficulty of access to the rear building.
Mr. Wright will try and obtain a copy of his tax statement or deed from his bank
for proof of ownership.
Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Fashingbauer, to recommend approval of the
Site Plan for Tim Wright, 12133 Everton Avenue, to construct an 18 x 26 accessory
building for personal storage only. Conditioned on Mr. Wright's obtaining proof -
of -ownership prior to the Council meeting.
All aye. Motion Carried.

JAMES HEHN - VARIANCE
Mr. Hehn, Marlowe Lindau's son-in-law, had submitted plan for his house to the
Building Inspector. Mr. Crever returned them to City Hall stating that plans
do not conform to the ordinance requiring 960 sq ft. The plan has 816 sq ft.,
but Mr. Hehn stated that the basement would be finished and have two rooms.
Lorch stated if the basement is finished, as stated, he would have no problems
with the size of the house proposed. He felt that the basement could then be
calculated in the square footage, and no variance would be required. The Planning
Co;rnmi.ssion felt that Mr. Crever was not aware that the basement was going to be
u3e:i for living space when the plans were originally sent to him. It was their
opinion that the plans would meet the 960 sq ft requirement, with the finished
basement. Mrs. Hehn inquired if she could have a beauty shop in th6'basement,
and it was determined that it would be allowed by Special Use Permit.
Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Greger, to adjourn at 9:00 PM.
