HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982.07.14 PC MinutesMINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION July 14, 1982 The public hearing to consider the request of Byron Anderson to rezone 80 acres from CONS to AG was called to order at 7:34 PM. PRESENT: Peltier, Greger, Lorch, Fashingbauer, Jacobson ABSENT: Hanson, Knuteson Councilman McAllister appeared later on in the meeting. Mrs. Peltier read the notice as published in the Forest Lake Times. There was no one present at the meeting to voice their opinion, pro or con. There was discus- sion as to why only 80 acres was being rezoned. Mrs. Anderson was present, and stated that she was concerned with subdivision, because of the necessity of a new road. The Planning Commission determined that that was another matter to be dis- cussed at a later time, and that it would be more appropriate to rezone the 160 acres, as requested on the original application. (KNUTESON ARRIVED AT 7:50 PM). The public hearing was closed at 8:00 PM. The regular meeting was called to order at 8:04 PM. PRESENT: Greger, Fashingbauer, Lorch, Jacobson, Knuteson, Peltier ABSENT: Hanson Motion made by Peltier, Greger seconded, to schedule another public hearing for August 11, 1982, 7:30 PM, to consider the request of Byron Anderson to rezone 160 acres from CONS to AG. All aye. Motion Carried. TIM MONTGOMERY - SITE PLAN APPROVAL Motion made by Peltier, Fashingbauer seconded, to table this matter until July 28th and the secretary send a letter to Mr. Montgomery requesting his presence at this meeting to answer any questions. All aye. Motion Carried. PHIL OGBURN - SPECIAL USE PERMIT Mr. Ogburn owns 5 acres on the corner of Goodview and 132nd Street. The property is zoned RRI. Mr. Ogburn would like to construct a 50 x 90 pole barn to be used for storage, dog kennel, and an arena and stalls for their horses. Mr. Ogburn had not made official application, and will do so prior to the public hearing, along with a legal description of his property, and the property owners within 3001. Motion made by Peltier, Fashingbauer seconded, to set a public hearing for August 11, 1982, at 7:45 PM, to consider the request of Phil Ogburn to construct a 50 x 90 pole building. All aye.
