OF THE
HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
March 9, 1983
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Lorch at 8:00 P.M.
PRESENT: Lorch, Fashingbauer, Hanson, Potts.
ABSENT: Jacobsen.
Motion made by Fashingbauer to approve the minute of February 9,
1983 and seconded by Hanson with the change indicating Ken Lorch
instructing the secretary to read the City Council Minutes of
March 7 appointing him Chdirperson. At 8:15 PM Mr. Lorch took over
the meeting.
All Aye. Motion carried.
Motion made by Lorch, seconded by Fashingbauer to appoint Bill
Hanson as Vice -Chairman. All aye. Motion carried.
William and Diary Jackson were present with their plan to construct
a 28' X 42" pole building for persona 1 storage.
Motion made by Fashingbauer, seconded by Hanson to recommend
approval of the Site Plan application. All aye. Motion carried.
Debbie Hehn submitted her application for a Special Use Permit
to operate a Beauty shop out of her home. She stated that there
will be adequate lighting and off street parking in her yard at
5920 Egg Lake Rd.
Moho n made by Hanson, seconded by Fashingbauer to recommend
approval of the Special Use Permit. All aye, Motion carried.
Dave and Ester Weigel attended to answer any question regarding
the ®nstruction of the Silver Spur Saloon. Mr. Weigel stated
the building would basically be the same with minor changes on
the interior. The question was raised whether a Site Plan charge
is necessary since the Site Plan does not vary from the previous
plan. The commission decided to leave the decision up to the
Council.
Motion made by Hanson seconded by Fashingbauer to recommend
approval of the Site Plan based on Chapter 320-5, Subd. A. par.
4, with the condition that they conform to the plan submitted
and the parking lot be blacktopped by September 15, 1983.
All aye. Motion carried.
Andrew Istvanovich was present to get an opinion on rezonging
ten acres on 165th. This would be a spot rezoning and not
recommended by the Planning Commission. However they decided to
view the property to better evaluate the situation.
Ken Lorch read portions of a letter from Washington Soil and
l°arch 9, 1983 cont.

with surface water plan.
Michael Wick applied for Site Plan Approval to construct a pole
building approximately 30' X 40' for personal storage. He was
advised he would need a Variance because the pole building would
extend closer to the road than his house. Because of a pond area,
there seems to be only one place for construction.
Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Pashingbauer to recommend
approval for a variance to construct a 30 X 40 pole building.
All aye. Motion carried.
M. Wick -
I -lotion made by Hanson, seconded by Potts to recommend approval
of the Site Plan to construct a 30 X 40 pole building providing
the south side berm remains the same, and is a minimum of 75'
from the center of the road.
All aye. Motion carried.
Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Potts to adjourn the meeting
at 9:35 PM.
All aye. Motion carried.
