HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
July 27, 1983
The Planning Comaission was called to order by Chairman Larch at 8:04 PM.
PRESENT: Lorch, Hanson, Atkinson, Schoeller
ABSENT: Potts, Fashingbauer
Mr. Potts arrived at 8:06 PM.
JEFF BARBOUR - Rezoning
Pete Lowell was present as the possible purchaser of the property to explain
the exact location of the house, well and septic system. It was noted that the
septic should be on the south of the land to correspond with the perc test
results.
Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Potts to forward the rezoning to the
City Council recommending approval to rezone the 3.26 acres from Agricul-
ture to RR 1.
Aye: Schoeller, Potts, Atkinson
Nay: Hanson, Lorch Motion carried
Hanson noted his cppositon was due to the fact that two other permits had
been obtained on the property. Land division and a Special Use Permit for
the dog kennel, at which time Barbour was advised no other land split would
be considered. Mr. Lorch felt granting the rezoning would open the door
for too many other possible rezonings.
Fashingbauer arrived at 8:43 PM.
JOHN MAMPLE - Variance
Mr. Maniple would like to expand his existing garage 440 square feet. The
garage is approximately 3' from the side lot line. Maniple submitted a let-
ter from D. Kalsnes, neighbor, which state he has no objection. His only
request is that the roof line remain the same on the addition.
Motion made by Potts, seconded by Hanson to recoimiend approval of the Variance
for a 20 X 22 ft. addition to garage with the following condition, "the roof
line and the wall between the two properties remain the same as the existing
garage".
All aye. Motion carried.
William Kost - Variance, Site Plan Approval
Mr. Kost would like to construct a 14' X 20' storage shed. This size exceeds
permitted area by 20 sq. ft.
Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Schoeller to recommend approval of the
Variance application to construct a 14!X 20' storage shed.
All aye. Motion carried.
Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Fashingbauer to recon end approval of the
Site Plan application to construct a 14' X 20' storage shed.
