HUGO PLAT71ING COD1MISSION
November 9, 1983
The regular meeting of the Hugo Planning Commission uas called
to order by Chairman Lorch at 8:02 PPI.
PRESENT: Lorch, Atkinson, Hanson, Potts, Schoeller, Fashingbauer.
ABSENT: Olson
Motion made by Fashingbauer, seconded by Schoeller to approve
the minutes of October 26, 1983. All aye, motion carried.
Motion made by Lorch, seconded by Fashingbauer to cancel the
meeting of November 23, 1983. All aye, motion carried.
Shirley Nelson Hill — Mrs. Hill would like to proceed with
her plans to open a restaurant and on sale liquor establish—
ment. She stated that the building was nearly complete and
ready for business and would like to apply for the liquor
license. Pers. Hill was requested to supply the planning
commission with information regarding parking facilities,
drainage, the current septic system, lighting (exterior)
and traffic flow into the parking area.
It was decided that a public hearing would not be necessary,
but an opinion from the City engineer regarding drainage
would be helpful.
Motion made by Lorch, seconded by Potts to table the Shirley
Nelson Hill SUP application until 12-14-83 at which time the
following questionswill be addressed;
1. All area residents will be notified that this matter is
again being considered.
2. airs. Hill will provide an interior floor plan with seating.
3. Hill will supply a current site plan showing parking,
driveway, lighting, traffic pattern, drainage and an opinion
from Washington County regarding driveway access.
4. The City Engineer will be requested to give the Planning
Commission an opinion as to whether blacktop or Class 5
would be sufficient.
All aye, motion carried.
Peter Schuna — Variance — Mr. Schuna would like to construct
is garage six feet c oser to the road than the principle
building.
1,7otion wade by Lorch, seconded by Hanson to recommend approval
of the variance for Pete Schuna to construct his garage 6feet
closer to the road. All aye, motion carried.
Potion made by Schoeller, seconded by Atkinson to adjourn at
10:10 PM. All aye, Motion carried..
