The meet.inc was called to order by chairman !,arry 7 hre+ at 7:33
Chairman Larry Ehret read the call for an Open Hearing on Mardon Homes -
a proposal to subdivide 5 acres into 10 5+ acre parcels.
"he representative of ''ardon Homes exrnlained what is presently planned; the
subdivision of 551 acres with a road coming in on Irish at a North-eastern
angle with a cul du sac. The perc tests are in but 5 lots were marginal or
failed. Those being lots " 3, 4, 5, 5, and 7. Lots #4 and 6 came in at 120.
r,0 is marginal.
Tennis Weimenn, 12588 Irish Avenue: Requested that the road not come into Irish
directly across from a home.
Dave Holdaway, 12506 Irish: echoed Dennis feelings that the road not butt ii.to
a home or garage so head lights won't be a problem.
Alice Fil.stru:), 1.2395 Ivan Ave V_: voiced concern as to the length of the
cul. du sac and problems getting emergency vehicles in there. The length
s indicated at 21.2'? feet. `!:here is an indication that Isleton will one
_av connect from the north.
'r. Filstrup, same address as above: voiced concern as to the road frontage
which in most cases is less than the required 300 feet.
At the request of Mr Fhert, it Kuusisto, city engineer spoke on the location
of the street which will be apvroximatel.y ' way up on Irish or about 1,000 feet.
1`r Fhert. read %'r uuusi_sto's report and his suggestions as to width of street,
seeding slopes, driveway platting etc. <;,r Kuusi_sto then spoke to aleterr.atives
with sewage disposal as 5 l..ts so far do not meet perc requirements. me
alternative is a humping station on th-orth side of the road (125th) run
by anVowners association.
IL"rL.
Barbara cchroll, 9351 1.30th St N; voiced concern about the alternative plan
of sewage disposal, who would maintain i+, what voice does the city have in it.
This would have to be set up by the develover before lots could be sold. It
would be stipulated in the owners association covenants and the city could then
assess `.he owners if they failed to maintain the sewaize system. It was
s`resscd thouch that this is just an alternative suggestion.
Leon checking t.heIbook, it was brought out that there definately is a 300 ft
road frontage (4c on 5 acres of land.
As for Out Lot. A - nothinii. has been nronosed, it could be deeded to the city,
deeded to a neighboring farm or attached to other properties.
Since `here were no further questions or discussion the public hearing on
?'ardon Homes was closed at F:20.
