The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:45 PM.

This special meeting was called to consider the adoption of a resolution
approving payable 1995 Truth in Taxation proposed levy certification,
which must be adopted by September 15, 1994.
Councilmember Barnes queried the staff regarding the budget, and there was
a general discussion of the City's proposed expenditures for 1995.
The City Administrator presented changes to the proposed budget in order
to allow partial funding of a new fire hall. Reducing the proposed Fire
Department budget, eliminating the recodification of City ordinances in
1995, as well as adding additional revenues through increasing the City's
liquor license fees, would provide the City $37,132. The fund would allow
the City to plan a new fire hall in 1995, and serve as a base for future
debt service needs for the buildinq.
Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1994-18, A
RESOLUTION APPROVING 1995 TRUTH IN TAXATION PROPOSED LEVY CERTIFICATION IN
THE AMOUNT OF $797,213, AND FURTHERMORE, TO SET NOVEMBER 28, 1994, AS THE
DATE FOR THE CITY'S TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING.

Motion Carried.
Stoltzman made motion, Miron seconded, to adjourn at 8:•30 PM.
