OF TFEP HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
MAY 12, 1976
The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Peloquin
at 8;08P.M. Present were Peloquin, Ehret and Peltier. Absent were
Spitzer, Fosenquist and Johnson.
White Bear Rod & Gun Club
Jerry Perron, President of the White Sear Rod &Gun Club, applied
for a Special Use Permit to consider condition #2 of the present Special
Use Permit - clarification of actual planting_ of trees which was not
clarified in original permit.
Secretary instructed to obtain clarification from City Attorney
If public hearing can be held regarding Condition #`2 only. If so, the
Club desires a public hearing held; if not, the Gun Club will withdraw
application, Perron stated, Written reply requested from Attorney prior
to next meeting.
Vernon DeZiel - Land Division
Vernon DeZiel, 585 Heinel Drive, St. Paul, appeared with request
for land division of ^rscts C, D, and G on west side of Oneka Lake.
Present zoninP - la keshore conservancy. All three tracts meet minimum
of requirements and have at least 100 feet on an existing road. Cert-
icate of survey dated August 2, 1974.
Tabled until next meeting for lack of quorum.
Dean Johnson - Variance
Dean Johnson, 5839 147th Street North, appeared with application for
variance to build garage two feet from property line. Verbal permission
has been c -ranted from John Sadowski, adjacent property owner. Property
presently zoned Single Family Urban - tabled until next meeting for lack
of quorum.
William O'Mara - Minor Subdivision
William O'Mara, 18234 Elmcrest Avenue North, Forest Lake, applied
for minor subdivision for five acre tract he owns 14 miles east of Hiway
61 on 165th Street. Property has no road frontage; is serviced by an
easement only.
Property owner requested to ?ppear at next meeting with information
regarding stptus of the easement; to be obtained by the applicant from
Washington County Register of Deeds office.
Dennis Burdick - used car lot
Burdick appeared at April 28th meeting regarding need for special
permit to operate a used car lot on Forest Boulevard, just south of
the Hugo Post Office. Property is presently zoned Concentrated Business.
According to inform?t ion received from City Attorney Johnson, used car

lots are not an accepted use under that zoning. Applicart has al-
ready opened for business at that location. Secretary instructed to
obtain clarification from both City Attorney and City Council regard-
ing status of used car lot in time for next plgnning Commission meet-
ing.
Horton - vs- City of Hugo
A meeting has been scheduled with Mr. Earl P. Gray, attorney
for Norm Horton for 5:OOP.M. Monday, May 17, 1976 at the Hugo City
Hall. An attempt will be made at that time to come to some conclus-
ion as to a method of settling this law suit, and discussing the
problems th-t still exist. Members of the City Council have been
Invited to attend, and any nlannina Commission members that may have
an interest, are also welcome to attend. (Excerpts of a letter from
