HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992.02.24 CC Minutes - Special Council meetingMINUTES FOR THE SPECIAL HULLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY -44. 1992 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:00 PM. PRESENT: Brunotte, Jesinski, Miron, Stoltzman City Administrator, Ken Huber ABSENT: Barnes Mayor Stoltzman noted the purpose for the meeting. Jesinski made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the agenda format for the special meeting. All aye. Motion Carried. Mayor Stoltzman then referenced Minnesota Statutes 13.43, Subd. 3, with regard to the Data Practices Act, and the rights of the city administrator candidates under said Act. In an effort to protect the rights of the city administrator candidates, Mayor Stoltzman made the following motion: Stoltzman made motion, Brunotte seconded, to enter into executive session to discuss the names, credentials, qualifications, and background of the various candidates. All aye. Motion Carried. Mayor Stoltzman then read aloud the section of Minnesota Statutes 13.43, Subd . ti . City Administrator, Ken Huber, then left the room, along with Forest Lake Times' reporter, Jody Sailor. It was noted that the executive session would be taped, as required. Jesinski made motion, Brunotte, to adjourn the executive meeting of the City Council at approximately 9:20 PM. All aye. Motion Carried. Miron made motion, Jesinski seconded, to resume the regular session of the City Council. All aye. Motion Carried. City Administrator Huber and Forest Lake Times' reporter-, Jody Sailor, then returned to the Council chambers. Miron made motion, to designate the five finalists for the city administrator position, as follows: Robert Museus, Patricia Morrison, Bob Larson, Joe Rudberg, and Charles Whiting, with interview dates being set. for March 13-14, 1992. All aye. Motion Carried. It was then noted that the time and place where the interviews will be conducted is to be determined. Special Council meeting of February 24, 1992 Page Brunotte made motion, Miron seconded, to set a special meeting of the Cit'• Council for Saturday, March 14, 1992, in the City Hall Council chambers, 4:45 PM, to discuss and/or act on the appointment of a city administrator. All aye. Motion Carried. Jesinski made motion, Brunotte seconded, to adjourn the special meeting at 9:40 PM. All aye. Motion Carried. Information on the five finalists for the city administrator position was made available to the local news media, as requested. Mary Ann Creager, City Clerk
