HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
JANUARY 29, 1975
The meeting was called to order at 8:04 P.M. by Chairman
Spitzer. Members present were : Peloquin, Peltier, Spitzer,
Ehret and Johnson. Also present were Bill Schwab, +ashington
County Planner, and Irene Leroux, City Council Member.
Motion made by Johnson , seconded by Peltier, that minutes
of the January 14th meeting be approved as mailed. Motion
carried.
The next action taken was the reelection of Planning Commission
officers.
Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Ehret, for Robert
Rosenquist as Vice-chairman. Motion made by Ehret to close
the nomination and instruct the secretary to cast an unani-
mous ballot for Rosenquist. Motions carried.
Motion made by Ehret, seconded by Johnson, to elect Vern
Peloquin as Treasurer. Motion made by the chair to close
nominations and the secretary cast an unanimous ballot for
Peloquin. Motions carried.
Motion made by Johnson, seconded by Peloquin, that Article
VI , Section 1 of the Planning Commission By-Laws be amended
to the seconded Wednesday and fourth Wednesday. Members for:
Peloquin, Peltier, Spitzer, Ehret, and Johnson. Motion carried.
A discussion was held on cancelling the second meeting of each
month for the next few months as the work load has been so
small. The open meeting law states that meeting cancellations
have to be posted seven days prior to the meeting date so it
was decided to cancell these meetings at the first meeting of
each month.
DONALD WENZEL - REVERSE SUBDIVISION
Mr. Schwab stated he couldn' t find any ordinance or state law
to cover reverse subdiitisions and suggested that the applicant
be advised to request a refund for his application fee.and go
to the County office and have the lots combined by changing the
legal descriptions. Mr. Wenzel stated that he has already had
this done.
Motion made by Johnson, seconded by Ehret, that this request,
as presented , is superfluous and unnecessary and the clerks
office be instructed to refund the fee and no further action
be taken. Members for: Peloquin, Peltier, Spitzer, Ehret,
and Johnson. Motion carried.
Peloquin suggested that they have an advance agenda for mining
permits and special use permits that are renewable. Spitzer
instructed the secretary to obtain a list of renewable items
from the clerks office and put them in a come out file.
Peloquin discussed Ricci ' s parking area problem. Spitzer
stated that someone from the Planning Commission should go and
talk to Ricci.
Motion made by Johnson, seconded by Peloquin, to approve the
minutes of the December 17th meeting and instruct the secretary
to transmit the attached special recommendations of the County
Planner to the City Council. Members for: Peloquin, Spitzer,
Ehret and Johnson. Peltier abstained. Motion carried.
Motion made by Johnson, seconded by Peloquin, to adjourn the
meeting at 8:35 P.M. motion carried.
