HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975.02.12 PC Minutes MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION FEBRUARY 12, 1975 The meeting was called to order at 8:13 P.M. by Chairman Spitzer. Members present were: Spitzer, Johnson, Ehret, Leroux, Peloquin and Peltier. Also present were Bill Schwab, Washington County Planner, and Irene Leroux, City Council Member. Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Johnson, to approve the minutes of the January 29, 1975 meeting with the following correction: Sixth paragraph should be second instead of seconded. Motion carried. RAY PELTIER - SPECIAL USE PERMIT Mr. Peltier purchased the property at 5448 140th Street North under the assumption that he could restore it to its original condition; an apartment and light industry. According to the Ordinance you cannot have a residence in an industrial zone unless it is grandfathered in. Mr. Peltier stated that someone had lived in the building on a parttime basis until last spring. Schwab suggested that we refer this matter to the Attorney for his review. Motion made by Ehret, seconded by Peltier, that the Special Use Permit as submitted by Mr. Peltier be tabled until our first meeting in March, and pertinent information be sent to the City Attorney for his opinion. Members for: Pelo- quin, Peltier, Spitzer, Ehret, Leroux and Johnson. Motion carried. Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Peltier, that the second 'meeting in February be cancelled. Motion carried. Mr. Schwab presented a map of a Metropolitan Regional Park proposal for Anoka, Washington and Ramsey County. The Planning Commission felt they would like to see their plans and hear what they have to say. Irene Leroux explained that the Planning Commission's recommendation for the Wenzel property was incorrect. Motion made by Johnson and seconded that the meeting be adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
