I. Hugo Elementary — Park Facilities
Barb Kearns was not able to attend the meeting. This item will be placed on the April agenda.
II. Update and Discussion on Potential Parkland Sites
The Commission reviewed and discussed several potential park property sites.
III. Proposed Park Dedication Ordinance Amendments
The Commission reviewed and discussed changes to the City's park dedication requirement.
Specifically, the Commission discussed increasing the park dedication requirement from seven to
10 percent as recommended in the City's Master Park Plan.
IV. Request for Public Access on School Section Lake
John Rask informed the Commission that the City received a letter requesting a public access on
School Section Lake. The Commission commented that an access is not contemplated in the
Parks Plan, nor is there available land or funds for an access. Lastly, the Commission directed
City staff to forward the request to the MnDNR for their consideration.
