At its March 2, 2009 meeting, the Hugo City Council authorized staff to advertise for a new
intern position which would work with the Economic Development Authority on its Business
Retention and Expansion Program as well as the Parks and Recreation Commission and its
parks/recreation programming subcommittee. City of Hugo received a total of 12 applicants,
and interviews were conducted of ten applicants for first-round interviews and four second
round interviews which were completed on Thursday, April 23, 2009. City staff is pleased to
announce that the Hugo City Council appointed Shayla Syverson as the new Economic
Development/Parks Department Intern for a six -months internship beginning Monday, May
11, 2009.
