As discussed at the time of the purchase of the property, prior to any development of the former gravel pit, neighbors and residents would be asked to help master plan the park to determine the best park amenities to build in the future. The City Council has formed a committee to have preliminary discussions with the people that proposed the course. The City Council directed the committee to find ways to involve the property owners neighboring Irish Avenue Park and other residents in a planning process, if the proposal moves forward. The City of Hugo is looking for a volunteer to serve on the committee who would be willing to help keep the residents near Irish Avenue Park informed of discussions. If you are interested in representing your neighborhood or have any questions about the proposed development, please feel free to contact me at 651-762-6342. Sincerely, Shayla Syverson Parks Planner C: Honorable Mayor and City Council Parks Commission Michael A. Ericson, City Administrator Scott Anderson, Public Works Director
