SIX CITIES MEETING
THURSDAY, MAY 26, 2016
7 P.M.
PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt
ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Bryan Bear
A meeting of the six cities was held at Lino Lakes City Hall to discuss the Met Council's Joint
Water Utility Feasibility Study that was completed in December, 2015. This study reviews the
potential to combine the municipal water systems of six cities: Centerville, Circle Pines,
Columbus, Hugo, Lexington, and Lino Lakes. The Met Council presented the concept to the
group followed by discussion, where there was a general indication that all cities desired to retain
local control of their water systems.
