Evaluate entry monuments 2. Replacement of CSAH 8 banners 3. Evaluate downtown gateway elements 4. Evaluate the park standard policy 5. Establish a landscape replacement plan 6. Beautification of TH61 corridor 7. Monuament Location AHuCity go of Proposed Northern Monument Site New Monument Sign Cost Estimates • Monument Sign: $50,000 - $70,000 (each) • This is without any grading, landscaping, etc. • Additional work will need to be completed in addition to the sign design: • Surveying • Grading/Drainage Plan • Contact with property owners HCity of ugo Rep acamen off (:C24H City of A�Hugo Banner Background • As part of the CSAH 8 project, street lights with banner arms were installed on the 59 decorative lights from Oneka Pkwy. To TH61. • In 2007, the City Council approved the purchase of 55 banners (hung on every other light pole). • Public Works has only a few banners left to replace ones that look worn/tattered. Establish a landscape replacement plan HCity of ugo City of a�Hugo Entry Monuments - Next Steps • Provide direction to staff on how to move forward with the entry monument project: • Talk to the property owners • Nicholson's • MnDot Washington County • Obtain estimates for sign design, grading/drainage plan sets, and labor costs • Discuss funding options • Discuss timing/phasing of signs • Design sign and finalize plans Hcity ofugo CSAH 8 Banners - Next Steps • The beautification subcommittee has recommended approval of the new banner designs. • If the Council is comfortable with banner designs, we can begin the ordering process. • Will take 2-4 weeks for production.
