A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PLANNING, FUNDING, AND CONSTRUCTION
OF THE LAKE LINKS TRAIL NETWORK AROUND WHITE BEAR LAKE
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo supports outdoor recreation and active living by providing a
system of trails and parks and encourages pedestrian and bicycle activities, and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has a strong local system of trails and sidewalks within the city
constructed and planned, and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has partnered with Washington County and other agencies to plan
and construct the Hardwood Creek Regional Trail in Hugo, and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo understands the importance of regional collaboration and
partnership to build a comprehensive interconnected system of trails,
WHEREAS, the Lake Links Trail Network is in the counties of Ramsey and Washington and the
cities of Birchwood, Dellwood, Mahtomedi, White Bear Township, and White Bear Lake, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does support the planning, funding, and
construction of the Lake Links Trail Network around White Bear Lake.
ADOPTED by the City Council on April 3, 2017.
