October 26, l988
Chairman Potts called the regular meeting to order at 6:45PM.
PRESENT : Ellman , Potts
Motion made by Potts, seconded by Ellman to approve the minutes of
September 28, l988.
All aye, motion passed .
Rick & Jody Lessard have applied to the city for OR variance to construct a
26' X 36 ' accessory building on their property at 7342 125th St . , zoned
SFE but is 2. 79 acres in size, parcel "A" of certificate of survey dated
Aug , 28, 1984 . The proposed building would be closer to the road than the
principal building . The property slopes sharply in the rear making it
necessary to locate the building near the front of the property .
Chairman Potts inquired whether the building would be located behind a
large existing pine tree. Mr. Lessard indicated the building would not
and that he has chosen the proposed location because of the minimal open
area available on site . Mr. Potts indicated that the building could
become an eyesore and would like some screening provided . Mr . Lessard
stated that he had no objection to the request of screening .
Ellman made motion , seconded by Potts to recommend approval of the
variance request of Rick and Jody Lessard , 7342 125th St. to construct a
26' X 36' pole building approximately 75' from the road as per site plan
subject to the following conditions:
1 . Applicant plant 5 evergreens, 5' in height between the road and the
proposed building for screening . Location to be approved by the city.
2. Any commercial use of the building will not be permitted . Building
shall be for residential ( personal storage) use only .
Motion made by Potts, seconded by Ellman to adjourn at 6: 50PM.
