March 28, 1990
The Board of Zoning Adjustments meeting was called to order at 6:33PM.
PRESENT: Ellman , Olson , Barnes, Carole LaBelle
Members appointed Mr. Bob Olson chairman .
Motion made by Olson , seconded by Ellman to approve the Minutes of January
24, l990.
All aye, motion passed .
Mr. Robert Mersch has applied to the City of Hugo for a variance to
construct a pole structure 11 ' from the south property line and closer to
the road than the principal structure. The property is described as 12895
Ethan Ave. No. and is zoned conservancy. Mr. Mersch has indicated in his
narrative that it is impossible to relocate the proposed building to meet
the setback requirements because of the wetlands to the east and the
creek to the north. The home is built on the hill which is not large
enough to accommodate another structure.
Members of the Zoning Board visited the site and concurred that this the
best location for the proposed building . Pictures taken by the City of
Hugo Building Inspector were also included for review by the Board .
Motion made by Ellman , seconded by Barnes to recommend approval of the
variance request by Mr. Robert Mersch, 12895 Ethan Ave. , to construct a
pole structure, 11 ' from the south property line and be located closer to
the road than the principal structure.
