The meeting was called to order by Chairman Goiffon at 6:15PM.
PRESENT: Andrew Goiffon, Ken Rubenzer, Bernard Brunotte
City Planner, Ed Elliott
Motion made by Rubenzer, seconded by Goiffon, to the approve the Board of Adjustment
minutes for the meeting of May 28, 1997 as submitted.
All aye. Motion Carried.
MARK AND DARLA LOWELL
The applicants are requesting to construct a lower-level attached garage space under their
proposed 936 sq ft garage at their house under construction in Duck Pass. Access to the
lower level of the garage would be from the rear yard. The applicants state that the
proposed use for the space is for a cabinet making workshop and storage, necessitating a
garage door access. The property is zoned RR2. The zoning ordinance allows a 100 sq ft
garage plus 180 sq ft of accessory storage building. Darla Lowell was present to discuss
the application.
Motion made by Brunotte, seconded by Rubenzer, to recommend approval of the variance
request of Mark and Darla Lowell, 8590 136th Street, to construct a lower-level attached
garage space under their proposed 936 sq ft garage.
All aye. Motion Carried.
RONI AND DAVE DORNFELD
Roni and Dave Dornfeld, 15255 Elmcrest Avenue, are requesting a variance to construct
an accessory building, 2,400 sq ft in size, closer to the front lot line than the principal
residence. The property is 11 acres in size, and zoned agriculture. The residence is
located 650 ft from the front lot line, east of Elmcrest Avenue, and the proposed
accessory building 450 ft from Elmcrest Avenue. Roni Dornfeld was present to discuss
the application.
Motion made by Brunotte, seconded by Goiffon, to recommend approval of the variance
request of Roni and Dave Dornfeld, 15255 Elmcrest Avenue, to construct an accessory
building closer to Elmcrest Avenue than the principal residence.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Brunotte, seconded by Rubenzer, to adjourn at 6:47PM.
