The meeting was called to order by Andy Goiffon at 6:35PM.
PRESENT: Goiffon and Rubenzer
City Planner, Ed Elliott
ABSENT: Bernard Brunotte
Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the minutes for the meeting of
August 27, 1997, as submitted.
All aye. Motion Carried.
VARIANCE (RUDY)
Discussion with Burns Rudy and neighbor Jerry Rupkus about the location and use of the
garage. A letter in support of the proposed location from the neighbor to the south
(William and Kathy O'Mara). Further discussion on footings and tie downs.
Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the 40 foot rear yard variance
request of Burns and Therese Rudy, 7375 165th Street, to locate a 24 x 24 square foot
garage 10 feet from the rear property.
All aye. Motion Carried.
VARIANCE (MONTANARI HOMES)
Discussion of background, including approval of Lowell variance in July, 1997. Mr.
Elliott elaborated on staff discussion of an administrative approval of this type of home in
Duck Pass, and the potential for recurring variance applications. These comments were to
be forwarded to the City Council.
Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the variance request of Montanan
Homes to construct a 720 square foot lower level attached garage, in addition to the 760
square foot garage, at 8335 136th Street North, where code allows for a 1,000 square
foot garage.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Rubenzer made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adjourn at 7:02PM.
