JANUARY 28, 1998
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Goiffon at 6:3 OPM.
PRESENT: Brunotte, Goiffon, Rubenzer
City Administrator, Robert Museus
Goiffon made motion, Rubenzer, to approve the minutes for the Board of Adjustments
meeting of September 24, 1997.
All aye. Motion Carried.
VARIANCE (MONTANARI HOMES)
Montanari Homes, Inc., requested a variance to construct a garage of 1,530 sq ft, where
1,000 sq ft is allowed. The property is located at 8565 136th Street, and is zoned RR2
consisting of approximately 7.4 acres. The reason for the request is that the home being
constructed at the site is a full-basement walkout, with a two-story garage; the bottom
story serving as accessory storage.
Brunotte made motion, Goiffon seconded, to recommend approval of the variance to
allow the oversize garage of 1,530 sq ft.
All aye. Motion Carried.
VARIANCE (OLSEN)
James M. Olsen, 12152 Everton Avenue, has requested a variance to build an accessory
building in front of his house at the above address. The property already contains a two-
car, attached garage. Mr. Olsen desires additional storage space and is restrained from
placing the accessory building to rear of the property as required by ordinance due to the
small area of land between the house and Bald Eagle Lake and the limited access to the
rear of his property. Mr. Olsen informed the Board that the building would be of the same
material, color, and style as the house on the property. There were no comments form
adjacent property owners.
Rubenzer made motion, Brunotte seconded, to recommend approval of the variance to
construct an accessory building in front of his house, in accordance with the site plan
provided by Mr. Olsen.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Brunotte made motion, Rubenzer seconded, to adjourn at 7:OOPM.
