Motion carried. The Hugo Board of Zoning Adjustments considered the request of Charles&Cynthia Jorgenson, 2632 Bloom Road, White Bear Lake,MN,for a variance to construct a pole barn closer to the road than the principal structure on their property located at 13660 Keystone Ave. N. and legally described as the north 658.79 ft of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Sec. 25,T3 IN,R2 IW. Mr. Jorgenson was present to explain the need for the variance. He stated he did not want to cut down the dense tree cover, which is what would he would need to do for the driveway access if the pole barn was constructed behind the home on the property. The Planning Commission considered a letter from Thomas Schuette, Azure Properties, expressing objection to the request, stating the building would be detrimental to the appearance of the home and therefor,to the neighborhood. Brunotte asked if he had ever considered harvesting the trees on his property, and Jorgenson stated he had not,and had no intention of removing the dense tree cover. When asked if he planned on housing animals in the proposed barn, he stated he did not at this time but may possibly get a horse in the future. Jorgenson felt it would be a nice looking building, matching the house. Wally made motion,Brunotte seconded,to recommend approval of the pole barn to be located in the front of the principal structure at 13660 Keystone Ave., provided adequate screening is maintained to conceal the building from the road. All AYES. Motion carried. Brunotte made motion,Puleo seconded, to adjourn at 6:47 PM. All AYES. Motion carried. Michele Lindau, Secretary Board of Zoning Adjustments
