HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999.09.22 BOZA Minutes MINUTES FOR THE HUGO BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 22, 1999 The meeting was called to order by Stoltzman at 6:30 p.m. PRESENT: Puleo, Stoltzman,Brunotte Deputy Clerk, Michele Lindau Minutes of August 25, 1999 Brunotte made motion,Puleo seconded, to approve the Board of Zoning Adjustments minutes August 25, 1999, as submitted. All AYES. Motion carried. Variance Request-Robert Hicks The Board of Zoning Adjustments considered the request of Robert Allan Hicks, 8456 132nd St.N.,to erect a 40' X 60' X 12' pole barn in front of the existing principal dwelling. The property is generally located on the north side of 132nd St.,west of Isleton Ave., and legally described as part of the north 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of Sec. 26,T3 1N,R21W. It was determined by the City Planner that the maximum combined square footage of the existing garage and the proposed pole barn would exceed the maximum allowed for accessory storage in the Rural Residential District. Mr. Hicks indicated he had no problem with adjusting the dimensions of the building to be within the allowed amount. Brunotte made motion,Puleo seconded,to recommend approval of the variance with the following conditions: 1. The combined square footage of the proposed barn and existing detached garage does not exceed 2,800 square feet. 2. The applicant must provide documentation that the on-site sewage treatment system and water system is in compliance with city and state codes. 3. The proposed pole barn be constructed to resemble the principal building in color and roof line. 4. Additional screening be provided. All AYES. Motion carried.
