A RESOLUTION ORDERING
THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PROPOSED
130TH STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, by a motion passed by the council on September 18, 2017, the city engineer was authorized to
complete a wetland delineation and soil borings and review potential ROW needs for the improvement
proj ect.
WHEREAS, the adjacent Adelaide Landing development is responsible for 44% of the construction cost for
the reconstruction of 130 Street with the total estimated construction cost being $3,558,000, and
WHEREAS, the developer is responsible to provide the City with a financial guarantee to the City in the
form of a cash escrow or other payment method approved by the City in an amount of $521,840 for each of
the first three phases of the Adelaide development, and
WHEREAS, the City has approved the first two phases and will be in receipt of $1,043,680 from the
Adelaide Development for the reconstruction of 130th Street, and
WHEREAS, the City intends to move forward with the improvement of 130`h Street without utilizing the 429
process.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible.
2. WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer
shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
Whereupon said resolution was moved for adoption by Council member Miron and duly seconded by
Council member Klein.
Council members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt
Council members voting NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 1 t a of J018.
