Jan 16, 1961
Special meeting called to order by acting Mayor James Letourneau. Council
members present: Letourneau, Marier, Burkhand.
Purpose of the meeting was to discuss the location of water mains on private
property between Main Street and Egg Lake as discusse by the Council and
Engineer Kuusisto at the previous council meeting. All parties concerned were
given written notice of meeting so as to voice opinion.
The meeting was turned over to Engineer Kuusisto, and he explained an
alternate system behind building units and Egg Lake rather than in the street with
the thought that easements secured should be ample enought to lay sewer lines
in the future. Acceptance of the proposal was very encouraging.
The Council instructed Engineer Kuusisto to include such alternate plans in advertising
for bids.
Mr. Jewell representing Village attorney Philip Eastwood sat in on the discussion, and
gave opinions on matters where law was concerned.
The council reviewed further plans and specifications as presented by Engineer Kuusisto.
Meeting adjourned at 12:15am.
