CITY OF HUGO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING WASHINGTON COUNTY RESTRICT PARKING
ALONG COUNTY ROAD 7 FROM INGERSOLL AVENUE TO APPROXIMATELY 730
FEET SOUTHWEST OF 125TH STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has received complaints of cars parking unsafely along this
portion of County Road 7; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has investigated the existing parking conditions along the curve
near Ingersoll Avenue; and
WHEREAS, advisory speed limits are posted for the roadway in this location due to the
horizontal alignment of the roadway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has determined that due to the shoulder width and sight distance,
County Road 7 does not provide adequate width to safely park along the roadway; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hugo, Minnesota,
as follows:
1. The City of Hugo hereby requests Washington County prohibit the parking of motor
vehicles along the County Road 7 from Ingersoll Avenue N to approximately 730 feet
southwest of 125th Street N.
