A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND
SETTING THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
2020 GOODVIEW AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS,pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted October 21,2019, a report was prepared
by WSB. with reference to the improvement of Goodview Avenue from the southern City border to
Egg Lake Road(137th Street/County Road 8; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed to include reclaiming the existing bituminous pavement,minor subgrade
corrections,minor drainage improvements, and bituminous paving along Goodview Avenue from the
southern City border to Egg Lake Road(137th Street/County Road 8 and to assess benefited
properties for all or a portion of the improvement,pursuant to Minnesota Statutes,Chapter 429.
WHEREAS,the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that said street improvements
are feasible,and should best be made as proposed,and the City Engineer's report to this effect has
heretofore been received by Council, and filed with the City Clerk on January Oh,2020; and
WHEREAS,the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of Hugo, Minnesota,
construct certain improvements,to-wit: 2020 Goodview Avenue Improvement Project, in the City as
described in and in accordance with the feasibility report prepared by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS,the statute provided that no such improvements shall be made until the Council has
held a public hearing on such improvements following mailed notice and two publications thereof in
the official newspaper stating time and place of the hearing,the general nature of the improvement,
the estimated costs thereof, and the area proposed to be assessed, in accordance with the law; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Hugo that the public
hearing be scheduled to consider 2020 Goodview Avenue Improvement Project,to be held on
Monday, February 3,2020,at 7:00 o'clock p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, at Hugo City Hall,
14669 Fitzgerald Avenue North.

Council members voting NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 6th day of Jan ary, 2020.
