HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020.07.20 RESO 2020-35 Study for 2021 Downtown Improvement ProjectRESOLUTION NO.2020-35 CITY OF HUGO WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS TO ALL OR PORTIONS OF ROADWAYS IDENTIFIED AS THE 2021 DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve all or portions of the following roadways and to potentially assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429: • 1471h Street from TH 61 to Oneka Parkway • Upper 146th Street from Fitzgerald Avenue to Finale Avenue • 1461h Street from Fitzgerald Avenue to Finale Avenue • Finley Avenue from 1451h Street to Upper 146th Street • Flay Avenue from 1471h Street north to cul-de-sac • Fitzgerald Avenue from 1461h Street to 14711 Street • Removal of existing Finale Avenue NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvement, called the 2021 Downtown Improvement Project for study and that the engineer is instructed to report to the council with all convenient speed advising the council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost- effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Hugo on the 20' day of July, 2020, by a vote of three Ayes and no Nays. Tom Weidt, Mayor ATTEST: Michele Lindau, City Clerk
