HUGO CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP ON
LIONS PARK FACILITY STUDY
REMOTE MEETING
MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2020 – 6:00 P.M.
Meeting was held remotely pursuant to MN Statute Sec. 13D.021
Mayor Weidt called the workshop to order at 6 p.m.
COUNCIL PRESENT REMOTELY: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt, Haas (joined at 6:20 pm)
OTHERS PRESENT REMOTELY: Public Works Director Scott Anderson,
PRESENT AT CITY HALL: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Clerk Michele Lindau, Parks
Planner Shayla Denaway, Community Development Director Rachel Juba
Parks Planner Shayla Denaway provided a background on Lions Park, the Feasibility Study and
the Proposed Trails Plan. City Engineer Mark Erichson presented potential alignments of 147th
Street on the north side of Lions Park. Some of the alignments included a trail as shown in the
Trails Plan. The Council discussed the options and directed staff to continue looking into
constructing a trail on the north side of 147th Street with a future road project.
Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to adjourn at approximately 6:30 p.m.
