<br /> <br />Minutes <br />HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING ON <br />PROPOSED PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br />REMOTE MEETING <br />MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2020 – 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting was held remotely pursuant to MN Statute Sec. 13D.021 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Weidt called the workshop to order at 7 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL PRESENT REMOTELY: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br />PARKS COMMISSIONERS PRESENT REMOTELY: Strub, Tennyson <br />OTHERS PRESENT REMOTELY: Public Works Director Scott Anderson <br />PRESENT AT CITY HALL: City Administrator Bryan Bear, Parks Planner Shayla Denaway, <br />Community Development Director Rachel Juba, Community Development Assistant Emily <br />Weber <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear provided a history of the Irish Avenue Park property. Prior to <br />2007, the property was used as gravel pit. The City purchased the property in 2009 and cleaned <br />up the site. A neighborhood meeting was held in 2009 to discuss the long-term and short-term <br />park uses of the property. Public Works Director Scott Anderson provided a summary of the <br />facility needs study completed in February. Community Development Director Rachel Juba <br />reviewed the site plan application for the public works facility at the south side of Irish Avenue <br />Park. The public service building is allowed in the zoning district as a permitted use.
