City Administrator Bryan Bear provided a history of the Irish Avenue Park property. Prior to
2007, the property was used as gravel pit. The City purchased the property in 2009 and cleaned
up the site. A neighborhood meeting was held in 2009 to discuss the long-term and short-term
park uses of the property. Public Works Director Scott Anderson provided a summary of the
facility needs study completed in February. Community Development Director Rachel Juba
reviewed the site plan application for the public works facility at the south side of Irish Avenue
Park. The public service building is allowed in the zoning district as a permitted use. Residents
shared their thoughts and asked questions, and they were encouraged to continue to work with
staff directly as the project proceeds.
Meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Shayla Denaway
Parks Planner
