HUGO CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
LIONS PARK FACILITY STUDY
REMOTE MEETING
MONDAY, JUNE 29, 2020 – 7:00 P.M.
Meeting was held remotely pursuant to MN Statute Sec. 13D.021
Mayor Weidt called the workshop to order at 7 p.m.
COUNCIL PRESENT REMOTELY: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt, Haas
PARKS COMMISSION PRESENT REMOTELY: Strub, Moore-Arcand, Rauschendorfer, Haag,
Schmid, Tennyson, Clarke
OTHERS PRESENT REMOTELY: Public Works Director Scott Anderson, Community
Development Director Rachel Juba, Finance Director Ron Otkin
PRESENT AT CITY HALL: City Administrator Bryan Bear, Parks Planner Shayla Denaway
Parks Planner Shayla Denaway provided a background on Lions Park and a recap of previous
Feasibility Study discussions. City Engineer Mark Erichson presented a recap of the City Council
Workshop on June 15, 2020 on potential alignments of 147th Street on the north side of Lions
Park. Candace Amberg, Senior Landscape Architect with WSB presented an updated Master Plan
for Lions Park and cost estimates. The Council Members and Commissioners asked questions,
provided comments, and gave direction on revisions to the Lions Park Master Plan.
Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to adjourn at approximately 8:55 p.m.
