HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020.09.08 RESO 2020-46 CARES Funding BudgetRESOLUTION 2020 - 46 RESOLUTION ADOPTING CARES FUNDING BUDGET WHEREAS, the coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted national, state, and local economies; and WHEREAS, Congress has passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that established a $150 billion Coronavirus Relief Fund to help offset the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on state, local and tribal governments; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has passed through a portion of its distribution to local governments to assist with funding expenditures incurred due to the COVID-19 public health emergency; and WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has received $1,148,713 from this pass through distribution to partially fund COVID-19 related expenditures incurred between March 1, 2020 and November 15, 2020. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that the following sums of money be allocated from the CARES funding received in the current year: Budget Soft Costs Police Services $ 700,373 Fire and Rescue Services $ 249,640 Staff Reassignment $ 85,000 $ 1,035,013 Hard Costs Telework Upgrades $ 45,000 Audio/Video Upgrades $ 21,000 Building and HVAC Upgrades $ 15,000 On -Line Permitting Software and Programming $ 11,100 Single Audit Costs $ 6,000 Personal Protection Equipment $ 6,000 Fire Station Credentialing System $ 3,100 Public Communications $ 3,000 Sanitizing Supplies $ 2,500 Election Supplies $ 1,000 Donations $ - Business Grants $ - $ 113,700 Total CARES Budget $ 1,148,713 Upon roll call, the following members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt Upon roll call, the following members voting NAY: None r Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 3rd of Aug st, 20.
