RESOLUTION ADOPTING CARES FUNDING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted national, state, and local economies; and
WHEREAS, Congress has passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act
that established a $150 billion Coronavirus Relief Fund to help offset the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on
state, local and tribal governments; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has passed through a portion of its distribution to local governments
to assist with funding expenditures incurred due to the COVID-19 public health emergency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has received $1,148,713 from this pass through distribution to partially fund
COVID-19 related expenditures incurred between March 1, 2020 and November 15, 2020.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO,
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that the following sums of money be allocated
from the CARES funding received in the current year:
