The map of the sidewalks and tails to be maintained was last updated in 2011. Anderson provided an updated map which shows trails that Public Works have been maintaining and would like to maintain. The maintenance of trails and sidewalks is secondary, with snow being cleared after all public streets and city-owned parking lots have been cleared. Cathy Moore-Arcand asked if homeowners are required to maintain the sidewalks on their property. Page 1 of 2 Parks Commission Minutes October 21,2020 Anderson said residents are not required to clear the sidewalks but the expectation is that residents will be good neighbors. Public Works doesn't have enough man power or equipment to clear all sidewalks and trails in the City. Some areas are maintained by Homeowner Associations. Moore-Arcand asked if we will be over extended with cost and staffing to maintain the additional routes added to the policy. Anderson said we should be fine as long as the equipment has no major break downs or necessary repairs.
