RESOLUTION NO.2021-19
RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE LOCAL EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, on March 13, 2020, Governor Walz issued Executive Order 20-01 declaring a
peace time emergency and coordinating Minnesota's Strategy to Protect Minnesotans from COVID-
19; and,
WHEREAS, on March 18, 2020, the Mayor determined a peace time emergency existed due
to the COVID-19 health pandemic and declared the situation a local emergency, and
WHEREAS, on March 20, 2020, the Council approved Resolution 2020-17, enacted under
authority of MN Statutes 12.29 and 12.37, to extend the Mayor declared local emergency; and,
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2021, the Hugo City Council discussed the COVID-19 pandemic
and unanimously approved rescinding the City's local emergency powers; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Hugo,
Minnesota, rescinds the local emergency effective midnight, March 15, 2021.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Hugo on this 5t' day
of April, 2021.
