A RESOLUTION RESTRICTING PARKING ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF FARNHAM
AVENUE NORTH
FROM 149TH STREET NORTH TO ONEKA PARKWAY NORTH
WHEREAS, the City Council of Hugo has received concerns from residents along Farnham
Avenue North between 149' Street North and Oneka Parkway North that the road is too narrow
to allow for parking on both sides of the roadway while still allowing traffic in both directions;
and
WHEREAS, the existing roadway width on Farnham Avenue North between 149th Street North
and Oneka Parkway North is 35 feet as measured from back -of -curb to -back-of-curb and does
not provide adequate width for parking on both sides of the street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo staff is in agreement that Farnham Avenue North between 149th
Street North and Oneka Parkway North should restrict parking to the east side of the road only to
allow traffic in both directions.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hugo, Minnesota,
as follows:
1. The City of Hugo shall prohibit the parking of motor vehicles along the west side of
Farnham Avenue from 149a' Street North and Oneka Parkway North.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City "ugo on the 2nd day of May,
2022, by a vote of five Ayes and no Nays. . ��
