Meeting of September 2l' 2022

Clarke called the meeting to order at7:OOpm.

St Pierre made a motion, McGinnity seconded to approve the minutes of the July 20, 2022 and August
l7' 2022 Parks Commission meeting.
All aye.
Motion approved.
Scott Anderson, Public Works Director updated on the Bernin property at 6540 Green Ave N. The Family
has vacated the site and requested a sugar maple tree try to be preserved with future planning. She
debris removal has started and nn trespassing dgnageis posted nn all structures. Hugo City Council and
City Staff visited the site and noted that the buildings are indisrepair. They are concerned that, with no
habitancy, the property could become a nuisance parcel and subject to vandalism. The Hugo City
Council authorized evaluation of the structures.
McGinnity made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to agree with City Council and City Staff to remove
the structures on the property while trying to preserve the maple tree requested to be remembrance
from the family.

Scott Anderson, Public Works Director informed that WSB &Associates drafted a demolition
management process to be reviewed by the City Council. If approved, the next step would be to solicit
bids for demolition.
Moore-Arcand requested trail signage currently in place stay until removal is required when demolition
occurs.
All Parks Commission members agreed.
Lions Volunteer Park Grand Opening is September 22, 2022.
Kidz N Biz is on September 24, 2022 at Oneka Elementary School.
City Bus Tour October 1, 2022.
Shayla Denaway led a tour of Lions Volunteer Park and the Peder Pedersen Pavilion.
St. Pierre made a motion, Rauschendorfer seconded to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 pm.
