A RESOLUTION RESTRICTING PARKING ALONG 159TH STREET
FROM FOREST BOULEVARD (TH 61) TO WEST TO FOXHILL AVENUE AND
FROM FOREST BOULEVARD (TH 61) EAST TO GOODVIEW AVENUE
FOR THE TH 61 AND 159TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
STATE PROJECT NUMBER 8206-53
WHEREAS, the City Council of Hugo has collaboratively worked with MNDOT and The Shores
of Oneka Lake development team; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has approved a development agreement outlining the development
is responsible for all cost associated with the project less the local partnership program funds the
City will be receiving from MNDOT; and
WHEREAS,the City of Hugo will be expending Cooperative Agreement Funds through
MNDOT's Local Partnership Program on improvements along TH 61 and 159t' Street; and
WHEREAS, the improvements along 159' Street from Forest Boulevard (TH 61)west to
Foxhill Avenue North and from Forest Boulevard(TH 61) east to Goodview Avenue do not
provide adequate width for parking on the street; and approval of the proposed construction as
part of a state project, the project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hugo, Minnesota,
as follows:
1. The City of Hugo shall prohibit the parking of motor vehicles along 159t' Street from
Forest Boulevard(TH 61) to west to Foxhill Avenue and from Forest Boulevard(TH 61)
east to Goodview Avenue North.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Hu n the 3"day of April,
2023,by a vote of five Ayes and no Nays.
